Here are a few things I do:
1. Don't trust myself. If my body craves candy, I don't trust it. Instead, I eat something good with sugar and protein, like an apple with peanut butter or a power bar.
2. Exercise every day, even if it's just walking the dogs.
3. Yoga, yoga, yoga. Exercising and eating right are so much easier when I'm not stressed. It eliminates the urge to stress eat, hibernate, or generally feel bad about myself.
4. Never, ever step on a scale. Pointless.
5. Eat to fuel my body. When I view eating as a source of power and focus on the fun things I can do when I'm well fueled there's little room for the I'm-so-fat-I-need-a-chocolate-bar crap in my head.
6. No soda.
